HOW FUNCTIONING THE CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT SYSTEM
The cooperative credit play an important role for the stability of the financial system at the regional and local levels. They provide credit to individuals, households, micro-enterprises, start-up, cooperative of workers as well as capital to SMEs. In Europe the cooperative credit banks are integrated into a distinct network, which grants them an adequate level of competitiveness in the financial market. By effectively implementing democratic principles of governance and by focusing on retail banking these banks foster responsible behaviour, which is crucial in times of economic crisis. This project would introduce in Africa the cooperative credit concept and to explain the systems and better understanding how the their contribution sound well in economy and financial reality with specific highlights by the most representative european cooperative credit banks. It is very much clear that co-operative banks have very much importance in sustainable development.

The cooperative credit is the best financial vehicles for unbanked people in urban and rural areas. Their presence in the social, economic and democratic structure of the country is essential to bring about harmonious development and that perhaps is the best justification for nurturing them and strengthening their base.
